Stirling back after health scare

"The crew took Stirling to United Health Services Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, N.Y. Following a series of tests, the physician came out and explained to Francesca that they believed they would have to go in and do an angioplasty. Some time later the physician brought her in to see X-rays that had been taken and explained that Stirling now required a triple bypass. 

By time Stirling went into surgery, Francesca was joined in the hospital by familiar faces, B-Sens head coach Kurt Kleinendorst, his wife Deon, part-owner Bob Carr, and athletic therapist Glen Kinney among them. The Stirlings’ son Scott, who was two-and-a-half hours into a return trip to Ohio after visiting Binghamton over the weekend, turned around after learning the news."

Better get used to Ice Caps

"Expect to see multiple introductions at the press conference next week in St. John's that will officially reveal Keith McCambridge as the new coach of the St. John's AHL team.

Two members of the club's training staff have also been hired.

Ian Cox, who worked with QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads last season, will be the equipment manager, while Alain Chabbert, who had been an athletic therapist with the Q's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, is also expected to move to the AHL."

Bulldogs woes worsen with weekend losses

"Sebastien Bisaillon, who was just called up last week from Wheeling of the ECHL because Nigel Dawes and Aaron Palushaj had gone up to the Montreal Canadiens, suffered a ruptured spleen in Friday night’s 3-2 loss. Bisaillon spent Saturday in hospital and it’s not known if he returned with the team Sunday.

Hamilton coach Randy Cunneyworth praised the actions of Bulldogs Athletic Therapist Luc Leblanc for recognizing the severity of Bisaillon’s injury and getting him to hospital. He confirmed that Bisaillon is done for the year."
